Building Faith, 4 – What a Job!

October 25, 2015

In Psalm 4 the poet reminds us that we can lie down and sleep in peace, for God alone will keep us safe. Working for all people all the time is a mind-blowing job. Fortunately, we have a God who created the universe and created us, and for whom time is not limited but eternal. God wants what is right and good, and If God seems to be taking his time answering my prayers, I must develop patience, for I know He is working for me. (Was Abraham too old (75) when his wish was granted?) Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, perceived as fact although not revealed in the senses. I build my faith on the rock of His love.

(Psalm 36: 9) God is the fountain of Life, the light by which we see.

(Genesis 2: 1-7) condensed – And Abraham and Sarah had a son Isaac in their old age.

(Hebrews 1: 1) Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
