Following Jesus, Day 9 – “Surrender”

May 6, 2015

Jesus knows all. He knows my good points and the bad, so I can relax in his presence. My eyes can stay open, and I can be honest, for he has forgiven me already. His golden light shines upon us all, rich or poor, sinner or saint. The battle has been won. I cannot hide. I need not pretend. I can only surrender. Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in they sight, O Lord, my savior and redeemer. I surrender to your justice and mercy.

(1 John 1: 5-8) God is light, and there is not darkness in Him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God, but go on living in spiritual darkness. If we claim we have no sin, we are fooling ourselves and not living in truth.

(Exodus 33: 14) The Lord said, “I will go with you, Moses, and I will give you rest. Everything will be fine with you.”

(Philippians 4: 8) Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and light, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
