New York – Act 2, Scene 1

February 21, 2013

The star of our performance, our grandson Kevin, made his appearance a bit behind our 9:00 AM pre-appointed time. Problems with his contact lenses had necessitated his wearing  glasses. Tall, angular, and pale after wintering in Ohio, his eyes, framed by impressive eyebrows and the horn-rimmed glasses, glowed with excitement and happiness. We waited in the large lobby of the Hilton in comfortable chairs watching those at work on laptops and I-phones. How many people work from hotel lobbies and coffee shops? I fear I wouldn’t be able to concentrate with so much activity surrounding me, but it might be fun to try.
